Working alongside Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA), SB Architects raised Vintage House to a level of sophistication commensurate with the rest of Yountville, giving the hotel a modern wine country aesthetic while ensuring it remained harmonious with the hamlet’s quaint human-scale buildings and restaurants.

The hotel redesign upholds Napa Valley’s rustic heritage yet adds stylish, contemporary touches. SB Architects activated the property from the street front with a modern wine country farmhouse aesthetic and created welcoming, high-class casual atmospheres that embrace guests and visitors in Vintage House public spaces, guest rooms, and suites.

80 bungalow-style abodes are tucked amidst a lush landscaped area shaped by a high-class casual luxury design approach.

Guests rooms incorporate natural elements and materials reflective of the quiet elegance and effortless beauty of the surrounding region, exuding approachable elegance with modern furnishings, oversized wood-burning fireplaces, private balconies or patios, and elegant color palettes.

Working within the two-story volume of the original hotel, SB Architects targeted underutilized space in the renovation, focusing the redesign so that the main building could accommodate multiple lifestyle experiences, whether guests stop in for a glass of wine or head up to the main building’s loft, which was converted and updated into a state-of-the-art conference and entertainment space.
