Biking for Hope
SB Architects has been a proud supporter of Bike to Hope for the past two decades. Supported by the Northern California Real Estate & Construction Council (NCREC), Bike to Hope is designed to raise vital funds in support of the incredible City of Hope. City of Hope is a leading research and treatment center for cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening diseases.
“Our philanthropic efforts have grown organically from our values. Wellness shapes our architectural design approach and plays a crucial role in our personal lives at SB Architects. Both the event and cause fit our values and passions, and we’ve been a proud supporter for two decades.”
For the fifth year in a row, we assembled a team of #SBRiders from both our Miami and San Francisco offices, to complete the Bike to Hope cycle and, ultimately, raise money for this crucial cause.
Ana Ramirez, Jose Ramos, Joe Cerri, Harris Christiaansen, Angelo San Diego and Nancy McClure tackled and successfully completed the 50K ride, and Scott Lee, Bruce Wright, Andrew Richler, and Matt Peterson took on and crushed the super challenging 100K course, which includes a grueling 3,850 vertical feet of climbing.
“It was a spectacular day for the firm. Our SB peloton participated in both the 50- and 100-kilometer rides and I couldn’t be prouder!”
Bruce Wright, Vice President, and Principal.
In its eighth year, Bike to Hope had 300 riders who participated and raised a whopping $271,000 dollars, 21k over target!!!, to support the City of Hope. All funds raised will fuel groundbreaking research, administer compassionate care for patients, and continue to provide hope where it’s needed most.
