THE INSPIRATION

Inspired by the simple modernism and modernist movement that created the historic Bacardi Building and its renowned Jewel Box in midtown Miami, Residence 23 incorporates angles and geometric shapes to create a visually striking structure. The Bacardi jewel box, completed in 1975, served as a significant inspiration for the project, featuring colorful glass mosaic walls that depict the process of rum-making reflecting the artistic integration and utilization of sunlight. Similarly, Residence 23 incorporated floor-to-ceiling mirrors within its interior, creating a mesmerizing play of light and geometric patterns.

SLEEK CORNER DESIGN

Boasting several unique features rarely seen in Miami’s architectural landscape. Residence 23 embraces the corner, allowing residents to step onto the glassy edge and experience its breathtaking height. To achieve this, the design incorporates recessed balconies into the structure, creating a sleek and minimalist aesthetic. Unlike the typical stacking of balconies, Residence 23 presents a simpler and cleaner form, promoting a sense of elegance and harmony.

An array of amenities have been programmed to enhance the residents’ lifestyle. The tower features a ground-level lobby and retail spaces, providing a warm and inviting entrance. Alongside the parking amenities, there are various facilities available, including a co-working space, a fitness center with a yoga room and hydration bar, a spa, an outdoor pool with a lounge, and a private dining room. Other amenities include an indoor golf simulator, media room and a speakeasy hidden behind a discreet façade.

Leed Silver, the building focuses on supporting a healthier and more environmentally-friendly lifestyle. Apart from including a large storage space for bikes, each apartment hosts a one-to-one bike stall promoting a healthier way of moving.
